Our Program
WCELC serves about 75 children in seven classes with 10 staff. The program has grown to be a faith-based Kindergarten and pre-K program where 72 percent of the students live in low-income families in Columbia and the City of Lancaster. The focus in each class is to help children develop a love for learning and a love for God. Our daily class schedules promote language and number readiness skills, crafts, music, large and small motor development activities and social skills.
Many of our children do not qualify for “at risk” early education programs, but their parents cannot afford a traditional preschool program. Because our tuition is based on income, our program becomes affordable for these families. In fact, 92 percent of our students receive scholarships funding 85-95 percent of their annual tuition.
Most students enter WCELC with little or no knowledge of God except as a swear word. It is exciting to see these young children being transformed by Jesus through Christian faith and guidance. It is not uncommon to have a parent come to us after the first month of school and tell us, “My child won’t let us start eating until we have prayed!”

Accreditations
Wonder Club Early Learning Center is a member of the Association of Christian School International (ACSI) and of the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) and is a registered kindergarten with the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
