Teen Haven
It was Saturday night, during dinner, when Harry* walked up to me and asked, politely, to talk to me. I pulled him into the game room out of the noise and gazed into his eyes. He smiled and said, "Thank you. This is my first time to camp and I came with many questions. And this morning you answered more questions than I could ever ask." I then asked Harry to share with me the apparent joy reflected in his eyes and smile. "Several months ago, I visited my aunt and she died in front of me of cancer. I loved her! Her face was all skin and she was so thin. Since she died, I've had so many questions. So many! When I came to camp Friday, my first time, I had so many questions." He then smiled and said, "This morning you answered my question and more. You asked this morning, What can you give the Lord for Christmas? He has everything. It then came to me. I gave him my heart. I accepted Jesus as my gift." Radiant Smile!!!!! "My question was answered." I looked into his eyes and asked him. "Do you know where your aunt is?" He said, "Yes, she is in heaven because that is where she wanted to go." "And when you die, where will you go?" Smile!!!! "I'll got heaven and see and be with my aunt again!" We embraced and rejoiced in knowing that the gift of Christmas set him free.
A heart healed by the touch of the finger of the little One in the manger.
Thank you, Lord.
