Teen Haven
The other day, Carl un-expectedly came to my home and rang my door bell. He told me he was in the neighborhood and wanted to say hello. As we caught up and talked, he thanked me for being in his life in his early Teen Haven years. He shared with me how he first came to know Jesus Christ at the Teen Haven camp and how he could come to a place to hear the word of God and be challenged to live for Jesus. We laughed at how he was “always right” and everybody else was wrong and that growing up was harder than he thought. But as he now looks back, he saw forgiveness and realness in our lives. He saw what God was doing and wanted to do in his life. Carl always knew God wanted to use him to reach people. He is attending church regularly, singing in a small group and is now currently learning the trade of welding. Before he left, he asked me to pray for his friend who is not walking with the Lord. We prayed that God would use him to reach out to his friend. We prayed that God would give him the boldness and courage to speak up and share with other about the Love of Christ.
